SoCal Premier D2 Recap: Playmaker FC Loses to Buena Park FC

IRVINE, CA (February 5, 2024) - Buena Park FC might be more than lucky this year.

Pulling off one of the upsets of the season, Buena Park FC topped Playmaker FC 2-1 in a SoCal Premier League match on Sunday, Feb. 4 at Orange County Great Park.

Omar Galvan and Beto Avilo scored first-half goals for Buena Park FC (7-4-1 overall), which remains unbeaten in 2024 pulled ahead of Artesia DES FC (7-3-2) at the top of the Division II Orange County Region table.

L.A. Monsters FC took advantage of Playmaker FC's misstep with a 2-0 victory over Irvine FC to pull to within three points of the top of the Division II Los Angeles Region table, and Rose City FC continues to hang around in third place after a 2-1 win over Viet OC FC.
