About SWPL

The Southwest Premier League (SWPL), formerly known as SoCal Premier League, and previous to that - Coast Soccer League Seniors, was founded in 1976. For decades, in southern California, SoCal Premier has offered a competitive league format which includes promotion, relegation and plays during the traditional Fall-Spring calendar. In its partnership with the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA), the SWPL offers clubs throughout Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas and Utah an opportunity to become professional through sporting merit and proper business practices.

  • Competence - understand the game, where we are going, and how to get there
  • Commitment - to excellence, to standards, to each other, to competition
  • Community - Collaboration with each other, giving our best to one another on and off the field, giving authority and respect to referees
  • Character - honoring and representing our league, our club, our team, and ourselves
  • Celebration - Looking forward, looking back - to see where we have come from, award those who achieve, and recognize our own growth and achievement from year to year
  • Club Exposure - Weekly team articles, Monthly club features, League Youtube with "Matches of the Week" and Game Highlights for continued player exposure.

SWPL believes in having a "club over league" mentality. Our clubs help determine all the decisions within our league. We have over 100 independent clubs within our system, all of whom believe in our core principles of teamwork and sporting meritocracy.

A new day has dawned for adult soccer in the Southwest.
