SWPL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Playmaker FCs Adan Villarreal

LA MIRADA, CA (June 5, 2024) – Playmaker FC forward Adan Villarreal has been selected SWPL Player of the Week.

Villarreal scored the first and final goals as Playmaker FC defeated Buena Park FC 4-2 to win the SoCal Premier League Division 2 championship match at Al Barbour Field on the campus of Biola University on Sunday, June 2 and earn promotion to Division 1 next season.

A native of Bellflower, CA, Villarreal is a graduate of Pico Rivera's El Rancho High School and currently is a student-athlete at La Verne University (NCAA Division III). He scored 11 goals goals with four assists and was a second-team all-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection following the 2023 season.

The SWPL Player of the Week is selected from nominations from league members.
