Pacific Premier Recap: Sporting Santa Clara Jumps Into Title Race

OAKLAND, CA (January 23, 2023) - SC Santa Clara might be making its move on the Top 2.

One of the new members of the Pacific Premier this season, Santa Clara went on the road and beat South San Francisco AC 2-0 in a league match on Sunday, Jan. 21.

The victory moves Santa Clara into a tie with SSFAC for third on 22 points, just three back or Juventus Academy Silicon Valley (25) and six points behind current leader JASA RWC.

Juventus went to the Central Valley and beat Modesto City FC, 3-1, while JASA downed Los Banos FC 5-1 at home.

Deportivo Cometa earned its first draw of the season, earning a 1-1 result against JASA RWC Under-23s on Sunday.
